Nicolas Ghesquiere presented his first collection for Louis Vuitton on the final day of Paris Fashion Week. Talk about pressure...
Though something tells us Ghesquiere didn't need to worry - his mix of luxe fabrics and figure-flattering shapes are sure to be a hit with the Parisian ladies next season.
The dresses were short and fitted, roll-neck tops were zipped up the front and coats had sharp, pointy collars. Worn with knotted leather belts and patent knee-high boots, these silhouettes gave a nod to the Sixties and Seventies - as did the burgundy, tan and navy colour palette. The show notes stated, "Timeless is now," after all.
As for the accessories? The mini LV luggage-shaped clutches and quilted leather totes are bound to be best-sellers.
