Peaches Geldof Has Died Aged 25

Peaches Geldof, the TV presenter and writer, has died at the age of 25. She was found dead at her home in Kent on Monday afternoon.

The news was confirmed in a statement signed by her father Bob Geldof, his partner Jeanne and her sisters Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.

"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," the message said.

"Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

Police were called to Geldof's home in Wrotham, Kent at 1:35pm on Monday. A member of Kent Police said, "Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death." It is currently being treated as "unexplained and sudden."

Geldof leaves behind her musician husband Thomas Cohen. They had two young sons together, Astala, who is almost two years old and Phaedra, who is almost one.

Cohen said in a statement, "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever."

Geldof shared her last social media message on Sunday by posting the following picture on her Instagram page with the caption, 'Me and my mum.' Her mother Paula Yates died when Peaches was just 11 years old.

Since the news broke, tributes to the star have been pouring in from friends, family and fans.
