The Chanel show during Paris haute couture week was all about breathtakingly beautiful brocade dresses, classic tweeds and boucle jackets. And then there was the matter of the pregnant bride in gold flipflops of the fancy ribboned variety.
Model Ashleigh Good closed the Chanel show in Paris on Tuesday, as she sashayed down the Grand Palais runway arm-in-arm with Karl Lagefeld.
Good, who is in her third trimester, looked incredible in a floor-length, full-skirted bridal gown complete with gold brocade detailing and caped jacket. You'd be forgiven for missing the baby bump.

While the theme was "Le Corbusier goes to Versailles," the collection had a Grecian, punky edge seen in the spiky updos and luxe layering.
The fact that a pregnant model completely stole the show in an elegant button-down wedding dress is proof that fine tailoring and attention to detail is everything. This is how to do voluminous in a subtle, regal-like way.
Good was an utter vision, what better inspiration for all pregnant brides-to-be?
