A pregnant mum died after falling from a block of flats in the middle of the night.
A witness claimed Georgina Drinkwater, 30, who was six months pregnant, was 'trying to get away from someone'.
Paramedics called to the scene in Queen's Park, north west London shortly after 3am on Sunday morning were unable to save her.
A friend of the mum-of-two Georgina, who asked not to be named, told reporters: "I heard she was trying to get away from someone when she fell.
"I have known her for a long time, she was such a good girl. I feel for her children."
Georgina's family have been informed and a post mortem will be held in due course.
An inquiry is being carried out by the Met Police Homicide and Major Crime command.
Detective Inspector Colette Smyth said: "Even in the early hours of Sunday, Harrow Road, W10 was busy with traffic and people walking around.
"I am specifically appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the woman fall from Orpheus House or anyone who was area just after 3am and witnessed this tragic incident to contact the police."
A man arrested at the scene has been bailed to return to a police station on April 23.
