The engagement rumours weren't true. Prince Harry and his girlfriend Cressida Bonas have split up after a two-year relationship.
"It's very sad that they have decided to split. It's very amicable, but they have decided to go their separate ways," sources told US Weekly on Tuesday night.
The Telegraph also confirmed the news with sources suggesting it was Cressida's struggle with the spotlight that caused the break-up.
The Telegraph reports it was the recent speculation over their engagement that created problems in their relationship.
However, it's said they have split on good terms. One friend described the split as a "breather" and another confirmed the couple are still close.
"It's very sad that they have decided to split but this is a completely amicable separation and they are remaining the very best of friends," the source said.
"This gives Cressida the opportunity to focus on her career but they would like to have a few days to be left alone."
When asked if there was any hope they might get back together, the source said it's hard to tell.
"It's impossible to say because I don't think the two of them know either."
So - is this just a short-term separation? After all, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also split up for a couple of months while they were dating.
Or is it officially over for Harry and Cressida? One thing's for sure. Harry's back on the top of the eligible bachelor list...
