They spend a lot of time apart in different countries because of the demands of their busy lives, but there is no mistaking how close the Beckhams are when they get together, as these touching pictures show.
David, 38, and Victoria, who turns 40 on Thursday (April 17), enjoyed a Saturday afternoon at an L.A. Kings ice hockey game with their children Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old Harper - and the bond between them was there for all to see as they hugged and laughed together.
At one point, mum Victoria draped her arms around her youngest son, while dad David lifted little Harper up to give her a smushy kiss (although we note that the older boys kept their distance a little – being normal enough to be embarrassed by public displays of affection towards your parents after a certain age!)
The family are together in the States to prepare for Victoria's milestone birthday celebrations.
According to The Mirror, Victoria has laid down the law with good friends Eva Longoria and hairdresser Ken Paves, who are organising her celebrations.
Rather than a celebrity-filled party, the paper reports she is insisting on a small, tasteful dinner for a handful of close friends and family members at a local LA restaurant.
Meanwhile, David has bought his fashion designer wife a dazzling £50,000 diamond bracelet to mark the special occasion.
