These staggering pictures show three moronic kids taking their lives into their hands by playing chicken on a railway line as a train speeds towards them.
Egged on by friends nearby, the daft lads stood in the tracks as the Sprinter train rounded a bend.
They were filmed waiting until it was just yards away before leaping down an embankment to safety in a heart-stopping near miss.
An eye-witness who posted the pictures on Facebook said the group could have been killed, writing: "They came within seconds of being hit."
It's thought that the youths also placed items on the line in front of the train – which could have had fatal consequences.
British Transport Police are now investigating the incident at Stoke Prior, Worcestershire.
They said: "We're aware of images posted online that appear to show youths trespassing on the railway line. Our inquiries are continuing.
"People need to be aware of the danger and parents must speak to their children about it.
"The last thing we want is to knock on a person's door to tell them their loved one has been hit by a train.
"We urge anyone who recognises the people in the pictures – or has information about any railway trespass – to contact us."
