Katie Holmes has reportedly put daughter Suri's modelling career 'on ice' to enable her to have a 'normal' childhood.
If you're wondering what modelling career? - other than being endlessly snapped in high heeled shoes and red lipstick, that is - it would seem that Katie has been 'inundated' with requests to allow Suri to star in ad campaigns.
RadarOnline.com reports that a 'family insider' revealed to them that six-year-old Suri is in demand from various companies to front their advertisements, but that sensible mum Katie has pledged that Suri's education must come first.
"Suri may be one of the most photographed children on the planet but she won't be doing her own photo shoots for fashion houses just yet," the mole blabbed to Radar, adding that Katie wants Suri to have a 'normal' childhood.
"Katie wants her to concentrate on school before anything else. Something her parents drilled into her when she was young. They pushed Katie through Notre Dame Academy and Katie will be equally as hands-on with Suri."
The gossip continued: "She just wants Suri to have as normal a childhood as possible. Katie is trying to keep her grounded and forget the celebrity lifestyle that she's become accustomed to."
The loose-lipped pal also claimed that Katie does not want Suri to follow her into showbiz, preferring her daughter 'worked in law' instead.
"Whatever she chooses to do when she's older, Katie will support her. If she wants to model then, that's fine. But first, school is the priority," the talkative friend concluded.
Well at least she's had plenty of practice in front of the lens if she DOES decide to become a professional clothes horse... (and we can't help but wonder if this could be some kind of veiled dig at ex-BFF Posh Spice since Romeo's modelling debut for Burberry... surely not?)
