Thandie Newton Welcomes Baby Boy 'Born Joyously At Home'

Thandie Newton has given birth to a baby boy. She has called him Booker Jombe Parker.

The 41-year-old actress revealed the happy news on Twitter yesterday.

Thandie went on to voice her support of independent midwifery and thanked the two midwives who helped her through the home birth on Monday.

Booker is Thandie's third child with her husband, film director Ol Parker. Their two daughters Ripley, 13, and Nico, 9, were also both born at home.

Proud dad Ol took to Twitter today to share his joy at the latest edition to the Parker family and it's clear he is already smitten with his 'awesome' son.
