It has been an incredibly exciting week for the Mad Blog Awards. Nominations ended last Monday and we received over 60,000; the largest volume of nominations ever received.
We let the dust lie for a short while but we are excited to announce our final fabulous award for Outstanding Blogger.
The parent blogging community is an intricate, close knit group where parents provide incredible support for each other through the good times and the bad. Within the community there are groups of men and woman who use their blog to campaign for change, to support others and to make a difference.
This year we have seen people use their voices to educate about disability, to create awareness of those less fortunate and to openly write about heartache and how to cope with life's toughest challenges.
We think these men and women are amazing, and we wanted to create an Award that would recognise and celebrate blogs that are simply outstanding.
This award is open for another week for you to nominate three blogs you think are contenders for Outstanding Blogger. All the nominations will be reviewed by our panel of judges and ten incredible bloggers will be invited on an all expenses-paid trip to the Mad Blog Awards in September where the winner will then be announced.
We are passionate about this new award and have been overwhelmed in week one by the response we have received, so if you know a blog that you feel is Outstanding, head on over to the MADs' site and let us know.
The nominations for this award will close on Wednesday 6 March at midnight.
