A three-year-old boy broke out of his creche and headed for home - resulting in a frantic 20 minute search by staff and police.
The toddler escaped from the Beechtree Community Childcare centre in Dublin last Friday.
Gardai officers from the Ronanstown Garda Station immediately started patrol and on-foot searches for the little boy after he was reported missing at around 11.10.
He crossed several busy roads in his attempts to get home, and was eventually found on a housing estate 650 metres from his nursery.
The Irish Sun reports the adventurous tot was 'unfazed' by his escapade.
Local Fianna Fail representative Daithi de Roiste said the creche was highly thought of locally but admitted the toddler's disappearance was a "matter of concern".
"It was very worrying for the family and staff at the centre but the gardai did a good job in getting him so fast," he said.
The creche has not commented on the incident.
