Do not, for one second, even pretend you never watched The Hills. As if the breakdown of Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag's friendship wasn't your go-to conversation starter!
The LA-based reality show kept us occupied from 2006 all the way through to 2010, but what have the stars been up to since a camera crew stopped following them around?
1.Lauren Conrad, 27
Lauren "LC" Conrad was the shining star of The Hills and her tempestuous love life gave even the most promiscuous of Judy Bloom characters a run for their money. Remember, what happens [with Brody Jenner on a circular bed] in Vegas stays in Vegas. Since she said farewell to The Hills in 2009 LC's made quite a name for herself, publishing best-selling novels and launching fashion lines all over the shop.
After a string of going nowhere relationships the newfound mogul got engaged to Something Corporate guitarist William Tell. Random fact: LC was the highest-paid cast member on The Hills, earning an annual salary of $2.5 million and was named the second highest-paid reality television personality, ranking behind Kim Kardashian.
2. Whitney Port, 28
Whitney did what any clever reality star does when they leave a show... She got a show of her own, and then got engaged to the associate producer of said show. In 2010 she took her kit off for Maximjust after her programme, The City, was canned. Since then she's been named the face (and legs) of Venus razors, and done a stint on the judging panel of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model. She also made a cameo appearance in the flick What To Expect When You're Expecting and become a designer. Well done Whitney!
3. Brody Jenner, 30
Stepbrother of the Kardashian sisters, Brody (or should we say Sam? Yes we should because that's his actual first name), has been mainly growing a beard since he said goodbye to The Hills in 2010. The current Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been linked to Avril Lavigne, and fellow TH alums LC and Kristin Cavallari but was dating TransWorld Surf's Miss September 2012, Bryana Holly, until their split in December 2013.
4. Audrina Patridge, 28
Bad boy-lover and star of straight-to-DVD movie, Into The Blue 2, Audrina is now known for modelling bikinis and appearing on Dancing With The Stars. In October 2010, she announced she'd be starring in Audrina, an upcoming VH1 reality series following her life after The Hills. The series premiered in 2011... And then it was cancelled after only one season. Boo.
Audrina's bad luck continued when the scenes she shot for Scary Movie 5 were cut in post-production. Girl just can't catch a break.
5. Justin Bobby, 31
We never really knew much about Audrina's former beau when he was on The Hills and we don't really much about him now. Since he left TH Justin Bobby has done the odd bit of modelling work, discovered Twitter and got an undercut.
6. Heidi Montag, 27 & Spencer Pratt, 30 aka Speidi
Speidi got tied the knot while The Hills cameras were still rolling, but since then Heidi's had a bit of surgery and Spencer's become pals with Made In Chelsea lothario Spencer Matthews (yes, it's all a bit weird). In 2009 Heidi and Spencer made a brief appearance on the American version of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, and Spencer was arrested in Costa Rica for attempting to board an airplane with "hunting weapons." He's now barred from re-entering the country. In 2010, Heidi nearly divorced Spencer, and was forced to file for bankruptcy.
7. Stephen Colletti, 28
Stephen aka Lauren's "one that got away" totally made it as an actor and was on One Tree Hill and everything. In 2008 he was linked to Hayden Panettiere.
8. Kristin Cavallari, 27
Kristin is expecting her second child with her Chicago Bears quarterback husband, Jay Cutler. She gave birth to their son Camden Jack in 2012, just one year after the pair tied the knot. But it wasn't all smooth sailing as before they made it down the aisle they couple briefly called off their engagement. Rumour has it, she got dumped.
