The Mindy Project series two will start in June 2014 on E4, the channel has confirmed. Although the exact date has yet to be announced, it's still pretty exciting our favourite new show of 2013 is definitely going to be back on our screens.
If you didn't watch the first series of The Mindy Project, we'd highly recommend catching up ahead of season two.
The comedy, which centres round the eponymous Mindy - an OB/GYN played by Mindy Kaling, who also writes and created the show - is probably the most real version of a woman that has ever existed on tv. She's super honest, never tries to be cute or stupid to endear the audience and actually eats McDonald's.
Also, she's hilarious - just check out our feature on 10 amazing lines from season one (example: "Your secret is safe with me. Largely because I don't care and I'll probably forget").
For everyone else, who loves series one and can't wait for the second season, here's three reasons we can all get collectively excited about Mindy coming back to our screens...
1. Her friendship with her best friend Gwen (played by Anna Camp). You know when your BFF has a kid and you're expected to love the kid but instead you just wish it would stop trying to steal all your friend's attention? That's what it's like between Mindy and Gwen and it's LOLs.
2.Mindy and Danny Castellano. Potentially the best Ross and Rachel situation ever because they both seem to sort of hate each other. And rumour has it the two hook up in series two...
3. Adam Pally has joined the cast as a regular. The actor AKA the best thing about Happy Endings is now part of the Mindy gang playing a new OB/GYN at the star's practice. This can only mean good things for the show.
