The Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips is expecting her first baby with husband Mike Tindall.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the couple's first baby is due in the new year. Announcing the news, a spokesperson said:
"Mr and Mrs Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the new year.
"The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news.
"This baby will be the first child for Mike and Zara and the third grandchild for the Princess Royal."
Zara and Mike married in Scotland in July 2011.
Mike - a former England rugby player - now plays for Gloucester, and Zara competes in equestrian professionally. She won Silver at the London Olympics, and was competing over the weekend (Saturday June 8) at Barbury Horse Trials.
The announcement comes as the Duchess of Cambridge nears her due date. Kate is rumoured to be due on Saturday, July 13, but - all going well - she will have a natural delivery, which means the Royal baby could arrive at any time...
Huge congratulations Zara and Mike!
