Christian Bale has become a dad for a second time after his wife gave birth to a baby boy.
The Pembrokeshire-born star and his wife, Sibi Blažić, confirmed the news through a representative, E! News reports.
Don't be expecting magazine photo spreads and Twitter name reveals à la Katie Price or Christina Aguilera, though.
The Batman actor is notoriously guarded when it comes to his family life. So guarded, in fact, that he has never publicly confirmed his nine-year-old daughter's name, although she is believed to be called Emmeline.
Christian has always been especially tricky when it comes to spilling the beans about impending fatherhood. In 2005, an irked Guardian reporter noted that Christian told him in an interview that he planned to have children 'at some point' a mere 11 days before Emmeline was born.
True to form, 40-year-old Christian never announced that he and Sibi were expecting a second child, although no amount of secrecy could disguise her prominent baby bump at the Academy Awards ceremony in March this year.

Christian's cagey attitude hasn't stopped him from opening up to interviewers about his love of fatherhood, however. Despite his image as a brooding Method actor, he told Esquire back in 2010 that having a young daughter meant he spent most of his time watching cartoons.
"The last few years of my life have been spent just watching animation-for my daughter-and getting a kick out of that. I love anything that she likes," he said.
"I find myself tearing up at the most ridiculous things now, sitting next to my daughter while she's watching a movie. Me and my wife look across at each other like, 'Oh my God! Are we really doing this?"
Christian met Sibi on the set of Little Women in 1994, while she was working as Winona Ryder's personal assistant. They married in 2000 after eloping to Las Vegas.
