It's as if Lena Dunham didn't want anyone to notice her new platinum blonde hair cut at the Emmy Awards 2014 on Monday.
The 28-year-old Girls star arrived at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles with her musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff wearing the most distracting outfit of the night - this Giambattista Valli tulle skirt paired with a matching pale pink blouse.
Lena taking a fashion risk is no new thing. Remember the chocolate brown Zac Posen gown she wore to the Golden Globes?
But this ruffled look has divided opinion. While some say it had the potential to be "pretty", and that it's "very fun," many critics have called it a style disaster (sorry Lena.)
Blame it on the cake-tiered skirt, the tucked-in, buttoned-up shirt or simply the sickly sweet colours but it's easy to understand why. This look was loud and ridiculous on every level.
Then again, one quick look back at her previous red carpet appearances will tell you Lena's dress choices are always both of these things. And clearly, she was happy to wear it.
The actress tweeted the below on her way home from the awards show:
Massive skirt aside, Lena should be congratulated for winning an Emmy - she picked up Best Actress in a comedy series for Girls.
