Shakira has confirmed she is pregnant.
Rumours that the singer was expecting her second baby with her long-term partner Gerard Pique have been circulating for some time, and Shakira has now confirmed the news.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan México, the singer, 37, got straight to the point, saying: "Well yes, the truth is that I am pregnant."
She then took to Twitter to thank fans for their well wishes, tweeting:
Shakira and footballer Gerard, 27, have a 19-month-old son, Milan. Although the couple haven't confirmed the sex of their second baby, rumours abound that it is another boy.

In the interview with Cosmopolitan, Shakira also spoke about her relationship with Gerard, saying:
"Seeing me in love is a constant state, there are no questions as the answer is simply there. Relationships have to have a give and take if they're going to work in the long term."
Shakira and Gerard met four years ago when he appeared in the music video for her hit song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).
