Maicon Dropped From Brazil Squad

Brazil have dropped Maicon from their squad to face Ecuador due to a "serious breach of discipline".

The Seleção beat Colombia 1-0 in Miami on Saturday and Maicon, Elias and Oscar reportedly made the most of some downtime ahead of travelling up the east coast to play Ecuador in New York.

Maicon didn't say "It was just banter."

However the 33-year-old will take no part in returning coach Dunga's second game in charge.

Maicon, capped 76 times by Brazil, played the full 90 minutes at the weekend.
