Red carpet glamour queen Monique Lhuillier brought her signature dreamlike magic to NYFW as she presented her Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk show at the tents at Lincoln Center in New York Friday evening.
Lhuillier's daytime silhouettes featured boxy tops and floaty skirts, full shorts with peplum tops, embellished-collar jackets and strapless silhouettes.
The designer's love of embellishment was apparent from the first look: a two-tone black and white dress delicately embroidered with flowers across the skirt.
Lhuillier also played with transparency and peek-a-boo flashes of skin, layering bandeau tops under sheer sleeveless button-downs with metallic waffle-weave quilted skirts, for an update on elegant-meets-edgy formal dressing.
Of course, it's the designer's ultra-feminine evening-wear designs that the Hollywood set (and the rest of the planet) can't get enough of, and she didn't disappoint with her beaded, shimmering cocktail dresses, beautifully draped frocks and frothy tulle gowns in a gorgeous pastel palette (lemon yellow, lavender, blush pink, sky blue), inspired by the first moments of a sunrise.
There was also plenty of shimmering and glittering holographic and metallic evening-wear on offer to tempt the young Hollywood set perched on the designer's front row.
The fairytale fashion show ended with flower petals fluttering onto models for the finale.
Just. So. Pretty.
