Diane von Furstenberg's Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk show certainly brought the 'wow' factor to New York Fashion Week, with a bevy of A-list models strutting their stuff on the catwalk, including Naomi Campbell and Kendall Jenner.
The designer took inspiration from the Côte d'Azur in the Fifties for her latest collection, which opened with a selection of pretty gingham dresses for plenty of retro Brigitte Bardot appeal.
In addition to DVF's signature wrap dresses (reworked in gingham embellished with crochet lace and shimmering sequins), models stalked the catwalk in bold floral babydoll frocks and button-down dresses, pretty picnic dresses, bra tops with skirts and coordinated jackets, hot pants and matching tops and flowing chiffon dresses with up-to-there splits.
Colours and prints were influenced by artists like Picasso and Matisse.
DVF's models grabbed plenty of attention too, with Kendall Jenner making her DVF debut in a monochrome crochet dress, Lily Donaldson opening the show and Candice Swanepoel looking Bardot-esque in a bra top with striped jacket and skirt combo. Girls star Allison Williams perched front row.
