Great British Bake Off: Doughnuts And Enriched Dough Recipes

It's enriched dough week on The Great British Bake Off, which means the remaining bakers are tackling fancy pants bread bakes.

The five quarter finalists are tasked with making:

Enriched sweet fruit loaves for their signature challenge.

An Eastern European cross between a bread and a pastry filled with swirls of cinnamon and walnuts.

A show-stopping selection of doughnuts.

'Enriched' dough is made with butter, sugar, eggs and/or oil. It requires a bit more work than regular bread dough, and takes longer to rise, but is well worth the extra effort - think sweet buns, cinnamon swirls and danishes.

Fancy giving it a go? We've rounded up some easy video recipes to follow for enriched dough and delicious doughnuts.

Happy baking!
