Inside Soap Awards 2014 Nominations: ‘Hollyoaks' Leads The Way, Ahead Of ‘EastEnders' And ‘Coronation Street' (FULL LIST)

'Hollyoaks' Leads Inside Soap Awards Nominations List

This 2014 Inside Soap Awards nominees list has been announced, and ‘Hollyoaks’ is leading the way with 15 nominations.

The ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Coronation Street’ cast and crew have scooped 14 and 11 nominations respectively.

Jennifer, Danny and Anna are all nominated for awards

During the past 12 months, ‘Hollyoaks’ has tackled a number of hard-hitting storylines, including Maxine and Patrick’s domestic violence plot and the issue of male rape.

The show will go up against ‘Corrie’, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘EastEnders’ in the race for the Best Soap prize, while many cast members will battle it out against their soap rivals in other categories.

Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste, is up against Danny Dyer, David Nielson and Jeff Hordley, of ‘Emmerdale’, for the Best Actor prize while his co-stars Anna Passey and Tamara Wall are both nominated for the Best Bitch prize.

Unsurprisingly, Danny Mac is up for the Sexiest Male prize, while Jennifer Metcalfe - who will leave the soap in Autumn - could scoop the Sexiest Female accolade.

Fans can vote to decide who should scoop the Best Soap award on the Inside Soap website. The ceremony takes place on Wednesday 1 October.
