CBeebies, every toddler's favourite channel, has now extended its brand to a newly opened theme park, CBeebies Land, and we were among the lucky first to visit.
For my three-year-old daughter, the idea of her favourite TV channel being turned into a walk-in and play theme park was beyond wonderful.
For me and my partner, the idea of going to a theme park without enforced commercialism and some educational benefits to the attractions had obvious appeal.
With Paulton Park hosting Peppa Pig World and Drayton Manor home to Thomas Land, Alton Towers has welcomed its own version of a paradise for toddlers and under fives.

Alton Towers is in a glorious country park in Staffordshire. If you're travelling far, consider staying over at one of the Resort Hotels as all the rides open early for residents. And if you can afford it, upgrade to a themed room, of which there is a glut of choice – we stayed in a Moon Voyage room but you can also choose CBeebies character rooms like Charlie and Lola and Mike The Knight.
