This apple, ginger and lemon recipe is a great one to try at this time of year. "Ginger is well known for its pain-relief and anti-inflammatory properties but it also has high antioxidant properties too," Margo Marrone from The Organic Pharmacy told us. "It also improves the circulation and digestion and can soothe intestinal cramps. It can also cleanse and repair the gut by helping to reduce bloating and nausea."
You will need:
Unfiltered apple juice
Peeled ginger
Chia seeds
Lemon juice
Ice
Method:
Add the ingredients above to a blender (you can add as much or little of each depending on how sweet, zingy or zesty you'd like your smoothie to taste.) Liquify and serve.
