Superfood Smoothie Recipe: Blueberry, Raspberry And Goji

During the cold dark winter months, our immune systems often need an extra boost to keep us feeling perky.

Want a quick but delicious pick-me-up? The experts at Neal's Yard have shared their 'Super Defense' smoothie recipe with us. It's packed with antioxidants to fight germs and it includes coconut water to hydrate and balance the body.

You will need (to make two glasses):

Coconut water

Fresh or frozen blueberries and raspberries (a handful of each)

Pre-soaked goji and mulberries (1 dessert spoon of each)

For immune system support you can also add a tincture of echinacea, thyme, elderberry and ginger, available from Neal's Yard (1 teaspoon per person)

For an energy boost add Organic beauty oil, available form Neal's Yard (2 teaspoons per person)

Directions:

1. Place all the ingredients into a blender.

2. Blend until a smooth consistency

3. Pour into glasses and drink chilled
