Kate has been resting while she recovers from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, but, according to Kensington Palace, will make her return to the limelight in two weeks.

Along with Prince William, she will formally welcome Singaporean president Tony Tan when he arrives in Britain in two weeks for a four-day visit.

Kate showed off a series of pretty outfits (pictured) when she first met President Tan in Singapore in September 2012.

The Duke and Duchess will greet the president and his wife Mary at the Royal Garden Hotel in London when they arrive on 21 October.

According to the Daily Mail, they will then travel with the presidential couple to Horse Guards Parade, where they will receive a formal ceremonial welcome from the Queen.

During the state visit, Tan and Mary will stay with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace and will attend a host of engagements around the UK, including trips to Bristol and Kew Gardens.

Kensington Palace has said Kate's attendance is not set in stone, and that she will only attend if she feels well enough.

Kate's acute morning sickness has already seen her pull out of a number of engagements, including a trip to Malta, the opening night of the Invictus Games, and, more recently, plans to visit Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team.

Fingers crossed she'll feel up to this next meet and greet.
