Uma Thurman's 16-year-old daughter Maya joined her famous mum on the red carpet yesterday (Monday, October 20) and the resemblance is more than a little eerie.
The pair posed for pictures together as they attended the New York première of The Theory of Everything, in which Eddie Redmayne plays scientist Stephen Hawking.
Maya dressed in a simple but pretty blue frock, while Kill Bill star Uma opted for a defiantly dressed-down jumper and jeans (and still managed to look fabulous).
Clothing aside, there's no mistaking those blue eyes, full lips, and killer Nordic cheekbones. The pair are clearly emotionally as well as physically close - Uma wrapped a protective arm around her daughter in many of the shots, while one photo shows Maya leaning in to give her mum a peck on the cheek.
Absent from the red carpet was Maya's brother, 12-year-old Levon, Uma's other child from her five-year marriage to fellow screen star Ethan Hawke.
Mum and daughter beamed for the cameras and appeared to be enjoying their girls' night out, which comes at the end of a tough week for Uma.
Last Thursday (October 16), her ex-fiancé, 51-year-old French financier Arpad Busson, filed an emergency court order seeking custody of Rosalind, the couple's daughter from their eight year on-off relationship.
The toddler's full name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson, but the family call her Luna for short (thank goodness for that!).
Uma credits Maya with inspiring her to go overboard, telling talk show host Jimmy Fallon: "My daughter came up with the best excuse, which was that I probably wouldn't get to have any more children, so I just put every name that I liked into [Luna's]."
We don't know whether Maya has inherited her mum's on-screen talent, but she clearly doesn't pull any punches when it comes to keeping the Hollywood star's feet firmly on the ground!
