A GoPro camera has captured a rarely-seen-before sight: the close-up of a rocket just as it's about to take off.
To help see all the stages of a rocket burn the team at Copengagen Suborbitals placed the GoPro Hero3 inside one of their test rigs where the engine would burn but ultimately never lift off the ground.
It's a mesmerising sight and it becomes all the more impressive as the surrounding materials start catching light - including the GoPro's plastic casing.
Just before the end the mounts finally give way and the camera is able to escape from the fiery inferno into the relative calm of the water cooled lake at the bottom of the rig.
The incredible footage was taken by Copenhagen Suborbitals, a non-profit organisation that's planning to put a human into space using nothing but donations and their own ingenuity.
