Tequila Sour Recipe: How To Make This Autumn Cocktail

Tequila Sour Recipe: How To Make This Autumn Cocktail

Now autumn is here, it's time to swap the the fruity daiquiris for something a little more warming.

Want a tequila-based alternative to a margarita? The people at Jose Cuervo launched the perfect cocktail for this time of year during London Cocktail Week - the 'Autumn Tradicional Sour.'

Jose Cuervo

This recipe is made with just four ingredients - tequila, figs, lemon and egg white and can easily be even a festive twist with the addition of cinnamon.

Want to try one at home? Here's what you'll need and how to make it. (Don't miss the recipe for the winter alternative below.)

You will need:

50ml Jose cuervo tradicional silver

10-15ml fresh fig puree

10-15ml lemon juice

Squeeze of egg white

Method:

Shake all ingredients and pour into a sour glass, without ice. Decorate with a sugar skull paper.

Tips:

To make the drink more foamy, first blend all the ingredients (a hand blender works perfectly) then shake with ice.

For a winter serve you will need:

50ml Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado (infuse it with cinnamon)

15ml cinnamon syrup

10ml lime juice

Method:

Build in a short glass with cubed ice.
