Shoe designer Christian Louboutin has turned his hand to beauty and is set to launch a collection of nail polishes this summer.
The man who infamously created the red sole of every girl's dream, after licking his assistants red nail polish across the bottom of one of his shoes back in 1992, has finally answered our beauty prayers.
In keeping with his making, Louboutin has created a collection of gorgeously lush nail polishes grouped into three colour categories - Pop, Nude and Noir.
This isn't the first time he's dabbled in beauty, creating a one off polish for Mac Cosmetics in the US, but this is the first time he's gone solo.
While the colours are to die for, it's the bottles that will really catch (or should that be poke out?) your eye.
Let's just say if we asked you to imagine a nail varnish bottle designed by Christian Louboutin this is exactly what you'd have in mind.
Thankfully, this small collection isn't the be all and end all of Louboutin's ventures in beauty and he plans to add a new polish at least twice a year to accompany his new shoe lines.
"If I do beauty, I have to do it my way," he once told Women's Wear Daily and we have to admit he certainly has.
The Rouge enamel will be on sale in the UK on the 14th August at Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
