‘X Factor' Review: Andrea Faustini Wows Again As The Acts Take On Two Songs Each (VIDEO)

'X Factor' Andrea Wows With Italian Performance

In Saturday night’s ‘X Factor’, each act had an extra challenge as, for the first time in this series, they were tasked with singing two songs each.

Once again, Andrea Faustini appears to have come out on top, receiving praise for his renditions of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ and Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’.

During the latter song, Andrea, who is from Rome, even sang the opening lines in Italian in a bid to make sure he doesn’t end up in the bottom two again.

“Once again, you showed your emotion,” Simon Cowell told him. “Perfect song choice for you. You were great."

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini added: "I absolutely loved that you sang that bit in Italian. It's the best saved until last. For me that was stunning."

Fleur East also impressed, with her rendition of ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ being labelled her “best ballad yet” by Cheryl.

Ben Haenow’s performance of ‘Come Together’ also impressed and saw Louis Walsh declaring that he “must make the final” while Stereo Kicks showcased their their talents with ‘Run’.

Sadly for the band, Simon didn’t rate their performance of ‘Just The Way You Are’ and the judge stated: “Their routine changed at the last minute. I don't think that was the right song for you. You have sung better. I think you're very lucky you've got a killer song coming up."

After battling illness all week, Lauren Platt gave it her all, though Mel B and Si were left unimpressed by her first track.

“I thought the dancers were distracting and I didn't feel like you were enjoying this,” Mel told her. “It was a big dance song and I didn't feel that you were into it. I could feel you were worried about hitting the notes, there was one bum note."
