The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in New York for a three-day tour of the east coast of the United States.
William and Kate, who is around five months pregnant, landed at JFK airport on Sunday evening. The royal couple were taken straight to The Carlyle on Manhattan's East 76th Street, the luxury hotel preferred by the late Princess of Wales.
"It's good to be here," William said as he was welcomed into the hotel by the general manager along with hundreds of fans.
However, there was no time to rest after their British Airways flight from the UK. Kate, who arrived wearing a plum coat by maternity label Seraphine, made a quick change into a black lace dress for a private fundraising event hosted by British businessman Sir Martin Sorrell.
Their itinerary also includes a visit to Brooklyn's Barclays Centre on Monday night to see the Nets take on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (it's thought the royals will meet Beyoncé and Jay Z here.) William will also meet President Obama on Monday when he visits the White House.
The couple will pay their respects at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum on Tuesday before they conclude their tour with a star-studded gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to support St Andrew's University, where William and Kate first met.
