It's over for Emma Watson and her boyfriend Matthew Janney.
The 24-year-old actress and 22-year-old Oxford University student had been dating for a year before they went their separate ways a month ago.
Watson's spokesperson confirmed the news to the Daily Mail and added that the pair have remained "amicable" since their split.
Emma and Matthew, who is a one of the university's top rugby players, often spent time apart because of their conflicting professional and personal commitments.
Aside from her hectic work schedule (she has just finished filming new thriller Regression with Ethan Hawke and is currently in Buenos Aires working on Colonia Dignidad) it was also a busy year for Emma academically. She graduated from Brown University in May with a degree in English Literature.
The couple started dating at the end of 2013 were first seen together on holiday in the Caribbean in January.
"They didn't have a care in the world," a source told the Mirror at the time. "Matt was very protective of Emma, often putting his arm around her.
"He was being a gentleman the whole time. He is clearly very much into her. They couldn't stop giggling and smiling the whole time."
Sadly, it wasn't meant to be - but we don't think Emma will have any problem trying to find an eligible bachelor to take her on a date. Harry Styles, perhaps?
