Jennifer Aniston has spent the last few months promoting her new film Cake - and it looks like her hard work on the flick has really paid off.
The actress picked up the Movie Performance of the Year for her role at the People Magazine Awards on Thursday night.
Jen has already been nominated for a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award in the Best Actress categories for performance in the film, which sees her portray chronic pain sufferer Claire Simmons, who becomes obsessed with widowed husband Roy following the suicide of his wife Nina, who was part of her chronic-pain support group. Sam Worthington and Anna Kendrick co-star.
According to People, when she was presented with the award, Jen said on stage: "Wow, this is so exciting. Is this real life?
"I have really now experienced what a labour of love truly means and this movie was never short of that."
Her good friend and fellow actor John Krasinski (husband of Emily Blunt, who just nailed a photo shoot with The Edit magazine) presented Jen with the gong.
He had a few very cute words to say about his pal: "Every once in a while you get to see one of your friends do something great. In her new film Cake, people were calling her performance transformative and career-defining but for her friends it's further proof of what we have known all along – she can do it all."
As usual, Jennifer looked stunning in a black shift dress with a white accent on the skirt. Her hair and make up were perfection and she was pretty much flawless.
Does this latest award mean she could be heading for an Oscar nom? We hope so, because we'd love to see the gown she chooses for that.
