Jennifer Aniston Reveals She Struggles With Insomnia

She's an A-list star with millions in the bank and a gorgeous fiance in the form of Justin Theroux. And although Jennifer Aniston looks like she doesn't miss a wink of her beauty sleep, she's revealed she actually battles insomnia.


According to the Mirror, the Cake actress revealed her trouble sleeping while chatting on The Dr Oz Show.

Jen said: "I have a hard time sleeping. Sleep is a tough one for me.

"My brain, the committee in my head, if I wake up at three in the morning I just start having conversations and they won't shut up and then I can't get back to sleep."

She added that it doesn't help that she sometimes lets the dogs sleep in her bed (ewww?).

"I do have three animals and a human being in the bed," she laughed, "so there are all these distractions".

E! News reports the actress said she's even tried a sleep tracker app on her phone to help identify when she's not sleeping properly, adding: "I got an app on my phone that allows you to sort of track your sleep rhythms, like how deep you go,"

"I don't really quiet ever get into the deep, deep, deep sleep. And am I going to die young?!"

During the interview, Jennifer also opened up about how stopping exercise to lose weight for her role in Cake affected her mood and serotonin levels. She said: "My stamina was shot. I was cranky. I was irritable.

"I'm usually really not any of those things. I just found myself short. I was hungry like crazy. Then, you realize exercise is just so important to our soul. Not just being able to fit into skinny jeans, just your state of mind, your soul, all of that."
