His Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, was the surprise hit of the year, while The Lego Movie was one of the top animated films of 2014. He's also set for a big 2015 after landing a lead role in the new Jurassic Park flick, Jurassic World.

And who was in third place? Scarlett Johansson, thanks, mainly, to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in which the actress reprised her role of The Black Widow.

It was a busy year for Scarlett, who also welcomed her first child, daughter Rose, with her partner Romain Dauriac.
