We asked Noella Gabriel, the director of product and treatment development at Elemis, for her advice on treating blemishes.
"Start by applying a warm compress with tea tree oil on it and place over the affected area," she told us. "This will help soften the skin and in some cases eases out the blackhead without any finger pressure - it's a long term solution and very effective."
This model isn't the only one who recommends applying complexion-boosting products overnight either.
Noella suggests trying Elemis' Herbal Lavender Repair Mask "to help dry up the area and speed up the repair process.
"I always like an application of lavender from our Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules which will repair any broken skin, reduce redness and improve the overall appearance of the skin," she said.
