Joanne Froggatt Advises Americans On Top UK Attractions - But Forgets Downton Abbey

Joanne Froggatt has been dishing out her advice on the best UK tourist attractions - but Downton Abbey must have slipped her mind.

In an American Airlines magazine article, Joanne listed her favourite attractions for US tourists, but failed to highlight a visit to Highclere Castle, where the TV show that rocketed her to stardom in England and Stateside, Downton Abbey, is filmed.

According to The Sun, Joanne, who plays Anna Bates in the hit series, completely missed out the Grade I listed home from her article.

So what did she suggest instead? The Golden-Globe nominated star said the Imperial War Museum was a must-visit, along with Regents Park, which, she says, is "beautiful to wander around", reports the Express.

For a night out on the tiles, Joanne said Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club on Soho was a hotspot, while St James' Church in Picadilly was another can't-miss.

Joanne even missed out Highclere Castle just as it's set to welcome guests to stay at the grand West Berkshire estate. Yes, really.

From February 2015, the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon will be opening an on-site hotel called London Lodge in the grounds of their castle just in time for Valentine's Day.

Condé Nast Traveller reports it has taken two and a half years to "painstakingly" restore the property built in 1793, and that mod cons include televisions, a mini bar and Wi-Fi.

Eek. Hope Joanne isn't in hot water at work.

LOVE A BIT OF LUXURY? These plush hotels are posh enough for a movie star...

Downton Abbey fan? Did you spot this mistake? Nope, us neither.
