When a spot cure comes onto the market, it's no surprise that women everywhere want to get their hands on it. The latest miracle product to spark a panic buying frenzy? La Roche-Posay's cult Serozinc Spray.
After it launched online at Escentual.com on 5 January, the blemish-busting spray sold out within 24 hours thanks to 2,000 pre-orders and a further 2,000 sales on the day. Although the French product has been a favourite with bloggers for a few years, it's the first time it has been stocked in the UK.
So, what's all the fuss about?
Made with just three ingredients - thermal spring water, zinc sulphate and sodium chloride - the non-perfumed toning spray cleanses the skin, reduces irritation and can clear up spots in a couple of days with regular use. It's also £8.50 - a relatively affordable price for a premium skincare brand.
"We knew that Serozinc was a product that the beauty bloggers have been raving about for some time but even we were shocked by the response," Escentual's Beauty Editor Emma Leslie said.
"Many women were buying three or four at a time in order to stock up and that has caused a bit of a panic buying situation."
The good news is, the retailer confirmed that further stocks have now been called in from France to meet the huge demand.
This is one to snap up, quick.
