Ever since she sparked a frenzy with The Rachel, Jennifer Aniston has been a hair icon for millions of women across the world.
So, it came as a surprise when the 45-year-old Cake star arrived at the Golden Globes wearing her locks in an updo. (Jen always wears her hair down).
It turns out Aniston hadn't washed her hair for two days.
Chris McMillan - he's Jennifer's stylist and business partner in Living Proof, their haircare brand - spoke to Grazia after this year's Globes and shared a few of his client's hair secrets.
"The look we decided on for the Golden Globes was overall clean, simple and elegant," McMillan said. "Jen was deciding between two dresses – if she wore one dress, her hair would have been down, but she ended up choosing the dress that would look best with her hair up. Originally, we were going to do a pony tail, but during make up, we put her hair in a bun and we both decided it looked great!"
His top tips for mastering a simple bun?
"Jen had two day old hair, which works perfectly for buns!" he said. "I used Living Proof Instant Texture Mist (£22.00) before, during and after to pull her hair back in a deep side part. I used a bungee cord ponytail holder and a long Goody bobby pin to hold the bun in place. I also used Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray (£21.00) to finish the look."
As for how to get Jen's glossy, frizz-free finish - McMillan emphasised the importance of looking after your tresses.
"It"s really important to make sure you're taking care of your hair! And a little styling tip is when you're blow drying, use tension."
Here's a reminder of why Jen's hair has been admired for the last two decades...
