This is the Local Motors Strati, it's the world's first 3D printed production car. It takes just 44 hours to print and is US road legal to drive.
To prove just how quickly they can make one the team decided to pull of the stunt of making one at the Detroit Motor Show.

Not only did they make it, but then they drove it around.
With a top speed of 50mph and a range of around 60 miles, the Stati is built using components from the Renault Twizy. It takes just 3.5 hours to charge to full making it the ideal run around for people who live in cities or towns.
At the moment it's only available in four locations in the US, but the team is hoping to not only expand their reach but almost halve their construction time from 44 hours down to just 24 hours.
