Full-length gowns look beautiful, but they come with a downside - they're tricky to walk in and as Jennifer Lawrence demonstrated at the Oscars 2013, dresses with trains can easily lead to a tumble.
So, we have to applaud Birdman star Naomi Watts for recovering from her embarrassing slip up on stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
As the Australian actress rushed over to the podium to accept the award for Best Cast in a Motion Picture, she tripped up. However, it should also be pointed out that Naomi's stumble wasn't caused by her own figure-hugging Balenciaga column gown. No, it was all down to Emma Stone's dramatic Dior dress and its sheer train
"Oh my God, wow," Watts said as she reached the microphone at the Shrine Auditorium. (Luckily, her co-star Edward Norton was on hand to prevent her from falling flat on her face.)
After Stone realised what had happened, she looked horrified and immediately said, "That's my fault."
Thankfully, Naomi and Emma were able to laugh it off.
Although Emma's facial expression after she realised what had happened? It was priceless...
And let's not forget - the Cabaret star looked incredible as she arrived at the awards ceremony (even if this train was a little dangerous...)
