Paris Couture Week: Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2015

Vinyl thigh-high boots, pleated babydoll dresses and graphic print bodysuits were the standout pieces at Christian Dior's couture Spring/Summer 2015 show on Monday.

Think elegant, edgy, retro-cool couture by Raf Simmons in a Paris Couture Week venue made up of scaffolding and mirror-covered walls.

Sequin embellished stripe mini dresses, floral cut-out full-skirted dresses, mini skirts worn over said jumpsuits, tunic crops and three-quarter-length coats were just a few looks that had us head over heels.

The silver, striped, sequinned jumpsuit? That's your showpiece this summer, because channeling your inner 1960s/1970s siren is everything.

Florals were a running theme (graphic, paisley, applique) as were stripes - horizontal and vertical. Oh and always, always paired with a vinyl boot and perspex heel.

Outerwear wise, all you need is a luxe, lightweight plastic mac to make sure your Dior couture ensemble dodges those April showers.

Hair was slicked back into the most perfect, poker-straight ponytails to ever hit the catwalk and make up was barely there save for a glossy lip.

Faces on the front row scene this afternoon included Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied, Elizabeth Olsen, model Eva Herzigova and Vogue Japan's editor-at-large Anna Dello Russo. Did they lap up the Simon's spectacle? Oui.
