Here's a reason to see the Ghostbusters remake when it hits screens in 2016 - the new film has an all-female cast!
Bridesmaids director Paul Feig confirmed the line-up for Ghostbusters 3 in a tweet on Tuesday.
Feig tweeted photos of Bridesmaids stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy along with Saturday Night Live cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. He also confirmed the film's release date will be July 22, 2016.
The good news comes three months after Feig's initial announcement which revealed the latest installment will star "hilarious women."
"It's official," Feig wrote in October. "I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call."
Actresses Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence had previously been linked to the lead roles but they are said to have passed on the project before Feig got involved.
