Are you on the brink of giving up your New Year's resolution to exercise more? This new Nike campaign starring Ellie Goulding will probably make you want to put your trainers on.
The 28-year-old singer has teamed up with the sportswear brand for 'A Melody of Movement,' a project which aims to celebrate women's fitness and show "strength is the new standard of beauty."
Goulding wears the brand's brilliantly bright workout clothes, but there's more to this collaboration than modelling. Ellie stars in a 15-minute training exercise video - and who knew she was so good at handstands?
However, the real point of this campaign is empowerment.
"I feel quite proud to be an ambassador for women who realise that being fit is better than being skinny," Goulding says about her work with Nike. "I like the fact that I can be that role model. I still think there's a little bit of work to do with promoting fit, not thin. But it's getting there."
As she's already completed five half marathons and is a self-confessed Barry's Bootcamp addict, it seems that Ellie is the right girl for this job. Her favourite hobby? Running.
"I think I was about 18 when I decided to start running," she says. "I literally went out running one day and I never looked back. From then on, I was running nearly every day, and I still am now."
