As embarrassing dads go, Gordon Ramsay already has a fine pedigree after he revealed that he spies on his teenage daughter Megan.
But he has taken the category to a whole new level of mortification.
Or rather, his 12-year-old daughter Matilda has.
Appearing on an episode of the US version of Masterchef Junior the budding chef dropped a bombshell that had the famously foul-mouthed chef holding his head in his hands while shaking it in despair.
Asked by fellow judges Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich whether the hot-tempered chef ever embarrassed her, she replied: "Yeah! He loves to run around naked."
The comment was met a combination of raised eyebrows, smacked gobs and gales of laughter from the young contestants, while the Michelin-starred father-of-four tried to chortle it off.
Matilda - known as Tilly - tried to backtrack, adding: "I'm kidding."
But the look on her dad's face suggested otherwise.
A few minutes later, Gordon attempted to get his own back – which only added to the Embarrassing Dad moniker – when he tried to set Matilda up on a date with 12-year-old contestant Michael.
But even though Michael agreed, blushing Tilly turned the tables, saying: "If you think I'm going to marry a chef, you've got another thing coming!"
When Gordon asked her why, she replied: "Because you're a nutter."
Good point, well made!
In October 2013, Gordon revealed that he spies on his teenage daughter with a hidden camera in her bedroom.
He said he had enlisted the help of his son Jack, 13, to plant a Go-Pro high definition camera in 15-year-old Megan's room.
Speaking on Jonathan's ITV chat show, chef Gordon revealed: "Megan's 15, she's here tonight with her boyfriend.
"They've been spending a lot of time in her room recently. But revising. Revising.
"They seem to be spending a lot of time revising and yet the results aren't...
"I've been a bit naughty over the last couple of weeks because I got Jack a little Go-Pro. One of those little secret cameras.
"So I said to him: 'Look mate, here's twenty quid, go and target your big sister's room and put that camera right at the top left-hand side of the wardrobe'.
"So, Megan, I'd like to talk to you about your revising."
