The hottest red carpet trend at the 2015 Grammys Awards? Metallic. And the look was pure Hollywood glamour.
Everyone from Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Rita Ora through to Mrs Kim Kardashian West herself went all out on the sparkle front this year.
The tricky thing about this trend is that you need to take the all-or-nothing approach and that's exactly how the stars did it Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Looks we're loving (and totally doing ourselves): Bey's black floor-length gown by Proenza Schouler, Kim Kardashian's gold plunging John Paul Gaultier couture ensemble and Katy Perry's sexy sheer number from the Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 Couture collection.
Then there was Jessie J's embellished black gown by Ralph & Russo, Taylor Swift's metallic teal dress from the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk collection, Rita Ora's long-sleeved Prada gown and Nicki Minaj's figure-flaunting Tom Ford look complete with glittery fringe skirt.
Lady Gaga also gave metallic the nod last night in plunging bead-embellished dress by Brandon Maxwell.
Sure there was a hint of Vegas showgirl to it (the crotch-high split) but somehow - with the tumbling silver tresses and matching sandal stilettos - she pulled it off.
Style rules for doing metallic like the A-listers do: minimal accessories (let the dress do all the talking), matching heels, a really good blow dry and full lashes.
