A photograph of a young father and his one-year-old daughter enjoying a day out together started a family tradition that has lasted for 35 years.
Hua Yunqing, 62, now has a beautiful collection of photos that have captured his daughter's growth from baby to mother-of-two.
Yunqing was just 27 when he posed with his baby Hua Hua while on a day trip to a local beauty spot in 1980.
The following year, the father and daughter returned to the same spot by Yinghu Lake in Zhenjiang, China, and Yunqing decided to recreate the photo they had taken a year earlier on the bank of the lake with Jinshan Tower in the background.
"I didn't have any thought of doing the same thing again but when I got the photo back, I liked it so much that when we went back the next year I repeated it," said Yunqing.
"After that it became sort of the family tradition, and we did it every year with only one break in 1998 when my daughter did not join us for the family holiday and was abroad."
'Abroad' sounds like code for the awkward teenage phase to us - but not to be defeated Yunqing made up for the missing picture by having his photo taken by the lake and superimposing his daughter's image in afterwards. Genius!
"When I started I never guessed that I still be doing this when I was in my 60s," he added. "And my daughter is now no longer alone – she is a mother of two."
