Charlotte Hawkins has headed home from hospital with her newborn daughter.

The Good Morning Britain presenter and her husband Mark Herbert were spotted leaving the hospital in Surrey with their newborn baby in a car seat, on Saturday February 14.

Charlotte, gave birth on Sunday February 8, and Mark, her husband of six years, told the Mirror: "Mum and baby are doing well."

But aside from this short statement the pair are keeping information about their new arrival close to their chest and are yet to reveal their daughter's name.

Charlotte's Good Morning Britain co-host Ben Shephard has joked that there has been a 'bit of arguing' backstage amongst the presenters, about which of them Charlotte and Mark should name their baby after. So perhaps Charlotte will soon make a guest appearance on the show to introduce us to little Susanna, Kate, Ranvir or Laura - or maybe even Benjamina?!

The baby girl, who was born weighing 7lb 14oz, is Charlotte and Mark's first child.

Late last year Charlotte, 39, revealed that her pregnancy had come as a very welcome surprise for her and Mark, as they had been trying for a baby for some time and were considering having IVF treatment when they discovered she was expecting.

The former Sky presenter said: "It took a long while for it to sink in I was pregnant because we'd been trying for quite some time."
