The Duchess of Cambridge will be happy. Jenny Packham presented her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection in New York on Tuesday and there was no shortage of delicate, dazzling dresses.
Inspired by the work of 19th century artist Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta (who's subjects were often society women), Packham clearly had real-life and Hollywood royalty in mind when creating her new range.
"A majestic palette, rich with texture, this season's collection comprises slinky form fitting gowns, full skirts with coquettish slits and contemporary separates of midi palazzo pants, tailored flared trousers, peter pan collars and statement jackets," Packham's show notes explained.
The colours? "Painterly hues of nightfall blue, emerald green, black tulip and cocoa are accented with bright bursts of poppy red and paprika orange."
The timing couldn't be better for Packham's sequin-heavy collection. The Oscars are only days away - and these designs were made for stars who want to sparkle on Sunday night.
